What are the New England Patriots weaknesses that a team could exploit?
Q. What are the weaknesses the New England Patriots have? What would have to happen for them to lose? Could their Field Goal make the big kick?

A. The New England Patriots* have very few weaknesses. Hence their record. As the Indianapolis Colts showed in their ealrier meeting, if you can take away Brady's big weapons and force them to run it, they are not doing too well in that area. But in the process, you have to make big plays yourself. Down the stretch in that game, the Indianapolis Colts were unable to make the big plays that would have clinched that victory. Reggie Wayne dropped a perfectly thrown pass deep. in their territory. Erin Moorehead dropped another perfectly thron ball that would have kept a drive going. You have to make all your catches against them because you will not hold the New England Patriots* down for an entire game.

A. I'm not sure where you are starting from. Obviously, Philadelphia and Washington have plenty to do and see. New York and Boston are great, naturally. We start getting into weather issues, depending on the time of year you'll be going. Cape Cod has some nice places. Newport, R.I., is pretty spectacular. The Maine coast is very pretty.

What is a good New England mountain for beginning skiers?
Q. I want to take my girlfriend on a ski trip and teach her how to ski, but I haven't been at smalller "beginner" mountains for a long time now. I'm looking for New England mountains with relatively easy terrain, and if I can get a great deal on ski-and-stay packages that would probably be the deciding factor. Anyone have any suggestions for me?
Asked by Coach McGuirk - Tue Dec 2 16:21:53 2008 - Snow Skiing - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Pat's Peak is really good for learning! Schools take all sorts of trips there for the students to learn to ski. And there aren't many steep trails, so it should be perfect! I'm not so sure about ski-and-stay packages there, but a place like Ragged Mountain might have some and it's not ragged. There are a lot of beginner trails there too! You could also try Bretton Woods, but it's really crowded there and it's not really a learning mountain, but they probably have ski-any-stays.

Would it benefit New England to convert to natural gas like the rest of the country?
Q. Every year on the news I hear about people in New England complaining about the super-high cost of heating oil leading to prohibitively high living expenses. What would it take to convert to a natural gas system like the rest of the country and use the cheaper, domestic energy source? Or we could try the "farm" version where each property has an above ground LP tank.
Asked by Babystomper - Tue Dec 9 09:06:47 2008 - Economics - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Cost of conversion is expensive, and probably doesn't pay, unless you need to replace your heating system anyway:

What happens to the premade New England Super Bowl Champion gear they would have had at the game?
Q. Once the game is nearly over, they have the Team Champion hats out and ready. What happens to the hats they would have handed out had New England won? Do they burn them all or do they have a small army of sweatshop workers at the game sewing the hats just before the game ends.
Asked by Scott D. - Mon Feb 4 14:25:16 2008 - Football (American) - 12 Answers - Comments
A. Actually, they only make enough of the Championship shirts & hats for the team in case they win. The products made for the public are not printed until the game is over. The company that makes the shirts & hats is in Rhode Island and they have workers watching the game then they immediately go to work printing to get them out to the public the next day. Only a handful of shirts for the team actually goes to the third world countries so you'll probably never find a misprinted 19-0 shirt or hat out there.

What are good flowers to plant in a New England garden?
Q. I've decided to take up gardening in our new home and would like to spruce up the curb appeal. What kinds of plants should I incorporate into my New England garden that would withstand the climate? I would also like input on a pretty flowering bush that would be relatively low-maintenance. (I'm fine with trimming, but prefer a bush that doesn't need constant trimming!) Also I would appreciate input on a bush/tree that might work well for privacy? Our yard is not very private, and I would prefer plants instead of a fence for privacy. Right now, I have one lilac bush and a few daffodils, however I'm trying to get rid of the daffodils (I have infant triplets and two dogs who are in the yard often, and I'm afraid they will injest them - the… [cont.]

A. Hi. It will depend on the zone in which you live. You will need to research that first. I listed a good site to help you do that. Once you know the zone, then decide what you want. Flowering bushes are great, and are showy in spring or early summer (azaleas etc.) Lillies are amazing, when planted in bunches along the fence or walkways. Vinca (perrywinkle) is an awesome ground-cover and is pretty hardy, but so is phlox. Butterfly bushes and sage are beautiful as well. The longer you have any of these plants in your garden, the more lush they become. And of course,t here are the roses. The best advice though will come from your local nursery (Lowes or Home Depot tend to be very general and therefore may not be your best option). Your local… [cont.]

The Mason-Dixon line represented a political boundary between the free northern states and the southern slave states. It represented also, a shift in ideology. The shift, revolves around economy. How likely is New England to see a terroist attack?
Q. `I saw on world news how there saying now that a nuclur or biological attack is likely before 2013. Would New England be thier first target do you think? Would it take out New Hampshire?

A. If there was a nuclear attack one of the primary targets would undoubtedly be New York City. The danger to New Hampshire would come from the fall out and the spreading of the nuclear bomb. This would depend on what size of a device was used. New England itself would probably not be a primary target. Other cities likely to be primary targets would be Washington D.C., Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. I would think the most danger would be in New York City and Washington D.C.
