How soon can you apply for Philippine passport renewal in Canada?
Q. My Philippine passport will be expiring this December 2009. How soon can I apply for the renewal from within Canada? There is a Philippine consulate office in Toronto and I will be going there this April..Will I be able to renew my passport as early as April even though it will be expiring Dec 2009? And does anybody know how long do I have to wait for my new one? Thanks!

A. Apply six months before the expiration of your passport because many countries require a six month validity of the passport in order that an alien can enter their country.

Renewing a Philippine passport at the consulate in San Francisco?
Q. I have been trying to get a hold of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco but I am having no luck. I call the passport extensions and the office itself during their work hours and I always get an automated voice message. Do I need to set an appointment or can I just show up? If I do not have my old, expired passport is there any way I can still renew my passport? I do know my passport number, the date issued and expired, and place of issue but I do not have my passport in my possession. What are the fees for renewing my passport at the consulate and how much does it cost to expedite my Philippine passport? if anyone can answer my questions, i would greatly appreciate it!!

A. Kabayan, I think it is because they are now issuing Machine Readable passport where you will be required to have your picture and fingerprints taken. If you are here in the US try inquiring at the Philippine Consulate that covers your state because some of them has a current Mobile Program for Passport Renewal in different location.Maybe you can just go to the nearest state where they will conduct the said outreach program and have your passport renewed without incurring so much time and expense.

How to get to philippine consulate osaka japan from nagoya station by bus?
Q. I'm trying to stay away from the bullet train because it is kinda expensive, can someone give me step by step procedure so i wouldn't get lost? thanks a lot
Asked by Dino - Sun Nov 28 00:45:53 2010 - Japan - 1 Answers - 1 Comments
A. I already answered with a cheaper way by train in your last post: By highway bus between the two cities the cost is essentially the same as taking the local trains, and takes about 3 hours to get to Osaka, then you need to transfer to a local train to Kyobashi Station, then walk to the Consulate. Enter NAGOYA then enter OSAKA. Price is around 2900 yen one way depending on time of day you travel (limited schedules). From Osaka Station you still need to transfer to the train (Osaka Loop Line) to Kyobashi station and follow the directions indicated in my last post.
