can i use a high pressure tank with a icd promaster?
Q.

A. Yes, and most people do, because you get more shots per tank out of a high pressure versus a low pressure tank... get the high pressure tank.

I have a Canon Rebel XT and was just given a Promaster FD 7000M flash. Will they work together?

A. I did some searching around on that flash, and from what I gather it is first and foremost a NON digital flash, meaning it was designed to work with 35mm cameras. What this means is that the trigger voltage, sometimes called sync voltage, used at the flash hot shoe contacts is very high and can seriously damage a modern digital SLR camera. DSLR cameras require no more than about 6 volts of flash trigger voltage, any more than that will cause camera damage. I could not find the exact voltage of that flash, but it was obviously designed to work with older 35mm film cameras which do not require low trigger voltages. Also, that flash would have to be a Canon dedicated model to give you through the lens correct flash exposure. I could not find… [cont.]

Should I buy a ICD promaster, a smart parts impulse, or ion?
Q. They all are about the same price? Paintball
Asked by khtratony - Mon Jan 29 21:45:01 2007 - Other - Sports - 2 Answers - Comments
A. I would go with the promaster. I ordered a lasoya promaster from actionvillage.com for $220. Someone I talked to said it has the same board as a freestyle 7. Ions are ok and you can upgrade them with lots of expensive parts and an impulse is old and bulky but they do shoot nice. The promaster has unlimited rate of fire while the Ion is capped at like 16 or 17 balls per second. I own a bushmaster b2k4 with pds and that gun shoots so fast and accurate but has no firing modes so I wanted a promaster because of the firing modes. Hope this helps. A. You are not giving near enough information. Is the flash equipped with a dedicated shoe mount? If so, is it a match for your camera? If it does not have the dedicated module, then it must have the "generic" module that will allow the flash to work as an independent unit regardless of the camera on which it is mounted. Are you using a modern digital SLR or an older film camera? This is an older flash designed for film cameras, and as such may have too high a trigger voltage for a modern digital camera and can damage the camera. The flash head only tilts to 90 degrees, but does not swivel. This can make it difficult to use good diffusion devices or to bounce the light as needed. Frankly, you can find more useful flashes at the same… [cont.]

A. Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy a canon flash unit so that you can take advantage of canon's ETTL that recognized your camera and your lens and makes sure they all work properly together. The 430EX is very affordable and is a fantastic flash unit.

A. If you check out the Action Village sale for them it looks like they don't come with much. Other than the marker itself, it seems to have a barrel plug, o-rings, and allen keys for the marker. You'll also see some Macroline that you'll need to install in the marker. Basically you'll need a good hopper, an HPA tank, and a mask to even get started here. Please note that you need to used compressed air with this marker and NOT co2. Hope that helps. Good luck

what camera will a MC Auto Promaster Zoom 1:3.5 f=35-105mm lens fit?
Q. i have these 2 lenses and want to know if they will fir my DSLR Canon Rebel xti... the first is MC Auto Promaster Zoom 1:3.5 f=35-105mm lens and the scond is a Soligor C/D 1:3.5 f=80-200mm lens
Asked by Laura - Wed Dec 8 20:26:16 2010 - Photography - 2 Answers - Comments
A. The first thing we need to know is what camera did you use them on? You will have to look on the lens mount and see what the lens is designed to be mounted on. Soligor is an old, old lens not made any more. If it is a canon mount, it was with the older, obsolete FD or FL mount Canon's If all else fails, take the lenses and your camera into a proper camera store and have them help you figure it out.

A. Cheap lens, lousy aperture settings. I wouldn't spend more than $60 on such a lens, especially a generic-brand like Promaster. Depending upon the camera mount, there are better quality alternatives that are probably about $100 to 125.
