A. Canadian Permanent Residents do not get a "PR Visa stamped on the passport"! They are issued a Permanent Residence Card which is a laminated card that can be read out like an ATM card. .. .. A single journey travel document would only be issued in exceptional cases to Permanent Residence permit holders who have lost their Permanent Residence Card abroad. A Canadian visa is never issued for longer period than a foreign passport is valid. .. Does anyone know if there is a 6 month validity on a US passport traveling to Canada?
Q. I heard that some countries have a 6 month validity on passports or a three month validity, depending on the country you are going to. When I'm planning on going to Canada I will have about 4-5 months left on the passport. I don't know if I can just travel to Canada first and then renew my passport, or if I have to renew it because of something like 6 month validity or some other restriction I don't know about. Thanks!

A. You have resigned from the company. You continued to show up for work, and they paid you. But after the 3 month period on any day you wished, you could have stopped coming to work and still legitimately claimed to have given them plenty of notice. Effectively you gave them an open resignation that they can (and did) use whenever they (or you) felt like it. If you really didn't want to resign, then you shouldn't have given them the resignation letter, or you should have at least sent them a retraction letter prior to their acceptance. So... they have not fired you... you resigned with notice.

Q. I'm doing some social science research and as part of it I am testing for criterion validity between two measures. This essentially involves correlating them. However I cannot find a good source for the level the correlation coefficient should reach to be considered to have criterion validity.
